Wood Village was assembled as a business town for the Reynolds Aluminum plant in Troutdale that closed in 2000. The town/city was also formerly home to a 90,000-square-foot (8,400 m2) Merix Corporation plant. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 0.94 square miles (2.43 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2010, there were 3,878 citizens , 1,223 homeholds, and 880 families residing in the city.

The ethnic makeup of the town/city was 62.6% White, 2.0% African American, 2.3% Native American, 3.8% Asian, 0.2% Pacific Islander, 25.0% from other competitions, and 4.1% from two or more competitions.
